Evie Olivia Danielle Hogg

What's in a name?

Just like her wonderful father, Evie has been given two middle names which were after family members, although we felt we needed to slightly change one and feminize the other.

Evie (Pronounced: EE-vee, EV-ee) - meaning life - for years now, Jaime has always said that if we have children, our little girl, should we have one, would be called Evie (and not Sienna like I had suggested). She has liked the name for a long time and doesn't seem to know how that came to be. I personally think it is after watching Brendan Fraser in 'The Mummy' where he continually calls Evelyn (Rachel Weisz's character) Evie much to her annoyance.

Olivia (Pronounced: o-LIV-ee-a) - from Olive. In Memory of Jaime's late maternal grandmother Olive Harris. It is said to have been created by Shakespeare for a character in his comedy 'Twelfth Night'. He may have based it on the name Oliver or on Latin oliva for olive.

Danielle - French feminine form of Daniel. After my father, Daniel Hogg. As Jaime and I do not wish to extend our little family any further (correct at time of publication) the need for a boy to continue the Hogg name will be the responsibility of my brother Samuel and his fiancée Caroline - no pressure there guys!
