INTRODUCTION

My name is Karen Allsworth. I am 34 years old and I have lived in the Didcot area all my life. In my spare time I am a keen photographer and I also enjoy cookery, walking, tennis and gardening.

My Husband

My husband’s name is Stuart. He works for a renewable energy company. His hobbies are football, flying and cookery.

My Children

I have two children.
Bradley is 5. He attends Stephen Freeman Primary School in Didcot. He loves cricket!
Joshua is 2. He likes playing on his train and exploring in the garden!

Our Pets

We have six chickens who live in their own fenced off area of the garden. They are very friendly and a lot of fun to watch! We also have a very large bunny called Chelsea and a cute Guinea Pig called Terry!

Our Home

We live just outside the village of Harwell in a lovely rural setting surrounded by fields. We have a bungalow which allows an open and welcoming feel. We have a large and bright conservatory which will be the main room used for my childcare provision. The room has an abundance of toys, arts and crafts, jigsaws, play-doh, games etc. We also have a large living room, which will be used for meal times and quiet reading time. There is a bathroom and my son’s have a spare bed in their room for children to take naps. I also have a travel cot for younger children. The kitchen has restricted access due to the potential risks but will be accessible during supervised cooking sessions.

Our garden is a very good size and completely secure. We grow vegetables throughout the year and the children in my setting will be actively involved in the growing process.
